Biography

Brad Neuenswander is the founding Director of Center for Evaluation and Educational Leadership (CEEL), which focuses on leading school districts through a comprehensive needs assessment process and strategic planning. Brad has spent more than 30 years in education with a variety of experiences. He has been a classroom teacher, building principal, superintendent of schools, director of school finance for the state of Kansas, and most recently the Deputy Commissioner of Education at the Kansas State Department of Education for the past 12 years. Brad also served as the interim Commissioner of Education during his time at the state department.

Brad’s experiences include two different tours of the state of Kansas learning about Kansans desires for educational outcomes, which led to a state strategic plan for student success. He led the development of a new school district accreditation process for the state, and has also served at the national level on various projects, including serving as the chair for the Council of Chief State School Officers Deputy Commissioners.
